Peter Chang's Badminton Championship

Tournament Dates: 07/09, 07/10 and 07/11.

Entry deadline: 06/30/2021 at 11:59 PM EST.

Events:

MS, MD, WS, WD, XD - Open, B and C level. 

40+, 50+ - MS, MD and XD.

U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17 - Singles, Double and Mixed.

Details: $2500+ cash prizes and medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze)

Note: Cash prizes will depend on number of participants in each event. 

Players safety is most important and we want all players to follow the rules and guidelines strictly while you are at the club.

Regulations

1. Regulations
a. Deadline for registration is 06/30. Free T-Shirts for players registers before 6/20 with 3+ events.
b. Registrations after the registration deadline - $5 late fee for each event.
2. Tournament Format:
a. Tournament grade shuttles will be used throughout the tournament
b. All matches will be the best of three games to Badminton World Federation (BWF) 21 points with rally-point scoring system. Consolation will be one set 21 points. 
c. Players entering multiple events are likely to have a clash of matches for 2 concurrent events. Organizers would support in
rescheduling one but players should be ready to play without break. Unable to report during this time would lead to his/her match being forfeited in favor of his/her opponent
d. Each Player in a double’s event must register separately on line.
e. Senior events are open to players who are over or equal to the age for specific category
f. Acceptable badminton clothing must be worn during play including non-marking shoes
g. Participant playing in A level (Single, Doubles, Mixed Doubles) is not eligible to play in B, C level in any category (Single, Doubles, Mixed Doubles)
h. The Organizing committee would combine events if minimum number of entries criteria (Min 8 entries required for each event category) is not met.
i. In Case the minimum entries are not achieved after merging categories then tournament committee can decide to conduct then even on round robin league.
j. In Kid events the organizing committee will follow the following steps.
k. Minimum entries for each event, if not met then moved to next level.
If Still not met then round robin league will be conducted.
The tournament committee reserves the right to change any of the above conditions.

If there are less than 6 pairs in each level, we may choose to club them with other levels/cancel them. ABC or the Tournament Director has the right to change the rules anytime and can not be contested.

REFUND POLICY: Due to the upfront nature of event costs, we have a uniform policy of no refunds (except the event being canceled), transfers or deferrals to a future year. We know that plans change and unexpected things come up, but we feel it is most fair to apply a uniform policy to all, instead of an arbitrary line of who merits a refund and who doesn't. Thank you for understanding.
